Toraja Tongkonan House Wall Triangle with Pa’ Garunggang Carving

This Toraja triangle wall panel called Para. Para is located on the wall of the house, which plays an important  role in forming the shape of the Toraja house’s roof.

Pa’ Garunggang is a carving method where the carving right through the wood panel, it symbolizes the high ranked status, wealth, and courage. Pa’ Bulu Londong motif are often made into pa’garunggang carving. Pa’garunggang is only used in certain Toraja Tongkonan house.
